JKPCC holds prayer meeting to pay tributes to MS Niaz

Leaders also prayed for early recovery of Azad

Jammu:  Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress committee held a special prayer meeting to mourn the demise of veteran Congress leader & former Minister   M.S. Niaz, at PCC HQ, Shaheedi Chowk Jammu.The meeting also prayed for the the early recovery of senior leader and LOP in Rajya Sabha Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, who has been tested positive for covid – 19.The meeting was attended by senior functionaries of PCC, former legislators, corporators, leaders of frontal wings and DCC leaders which was presided over by Raman Bhalla- Vice President JKPCC, besides attended by senior leaders including.Shri Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Ashok Sharma, Shiv Dev Singh, Rajnish Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Uday Chib, Ch. Gharu Ram, Shri Vinod Sharma, S. Gurdarshan Singh, Sanjeev Panda, Shashi Sharma,  Pawan Raina, Thomas Khokhar Dr Rama Kant Khajuria, AICC secy Kissan wing Bharat Priya, Ch. Dwarka Choudhary, Ch. Sobat Ali, Gourav Chopra,  Col Swarn Singh, Vandana Makhnotra, Adv Bhavishya Sudan, Rajvir Singh, S. Gajan Singh, Sahil Sharma, and others.The speakers paid rich tributes to the late  leader and remembered his qualities of leadership, simplicity and humbleness. They said that Shri Niaz was  unlike most politicians, who rose to the positions from the cadres and  always respected the party cadres and common people and was always helpful to every needy. They said that the  leaders and others should draw inspiration and learn from his habits of simplicity and humility.The senior leaders shared their experiences while dealing with Shri Niaz during his different positions in the Govt. And the party. They paid rich tributes to him and remembered his contributions.

Two minutes silence was observed to pray for peace to the departed soul. Prayers were also made for the early recovery of the LOP in the Rajya Sabha Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad from covid. Other senior leaders who participated include  Corporator Rashpal Bhardwaj, Mohan Choudhary, Uttam Singh, Vijay Sharma, Suman Choudhary, Jagjeet Singh Rumpled, Vinay Dutta, Surinder Singh Dutta,Ravinder Singh Rinku, Nasir Masih and others.
