Bootlegger nabbed with 49 bottles of illicit liquor

Samba: Samba Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 49 bottles of illicit liquor at Naka Chak Salarian in the jurisdiction of PS Ramgarh. Acting on reliable information regarding the transportation of illicit liquor, a Police Party of PS Ramgarh laid a strong vehicle checking Naka at Chak Salarian, Ramgarh, and intercepted a Car bearing Regd. No. JK21E-0173 which was coming from the Vijaypur side and moving towards Ramgarh. During the checking of the said vehicle, a total of 49 bottles of JK Excise Whisky (180 ml each) were recovered. The accused person identified as Suram Chand S/o Channa Ram R/O Trindi Camp, Ramgarh has been arrested on the spot, and the illicit liquor was also seized.  In this regard, a case FIR No. 107/2020 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and an investigation started.
