Top Lashkar Commander Saiffulah Among 2 Militants killed In Srinagar: IGP Kashmir
A Lashkar-e-Tobia Commander Saifullah was among two militants killed in an encounter in Rambagh area of Srinagar on Monday.
The Senior Police official while giving details to media said that Top commander of Lashker-e-Toiba, Saifullah along with his collegue,a local millitant, were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Rambagh, Barzulla area of Srinagar this morning,he said.
The IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar while briefing reporters said that that the Pakistani Militant Saifullah along with a local millitant were hiding in the area. He further said that the deceased millitant Saifullah was involved in Nowgam attack leaving two CRPF personnel dead and three others injured. He was also blamed for the Chadoora attack, in which a CRPF ASI was killed.
He further added that the militants were offered surrender as part of the SOP but they refused.As the forces approached the suspected site, the militants opened fire, which was retaliated by the security forces, said official.
Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that both the militants who were trapped in the area have been killed.
