11th Class Students Demand Exams in March; BOSE says Decision Under Consideration
Students of the 11th class on Tuesday appealed authorities to conduct their examination in March or give them mass promotion as they couldn’t complete their syllabus due to the ongoing pandemic situation which led to the closure of all educational institutions across the globe.
Talking to Kashmir News Services, a group of students said they have not attended classes this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. They said though authorities facilitated students’ online classes that too remained a distant dream due to poor internet services.
They appealed authorities to conduct their examination in March so that the students will prepare the rest of the syllabus or announce mass promotion like other classes enjoyed.
A girl student from Shopian said that most of the students have not attended the online classes due to internet problems and most of the classmates belong to far-flung areas where there was no internet connectivity due to several reasons. She appealed authorities to look into the matter for safeguarding the career of students.
When contacted Chairperson JKBOSE Veena Pandita, she said that no mass promotion will be given to students. When asked about the demand of students to conduct exams in March, She said the matter is under consideration.
