Advocate Babar Qadri shot dead in Srinagar

Unknown gunmen on Thursday evening shot dead Advocate Babar Qadri in Hawal area of Srinagar district.
A senior Police official confirmed that unknown gunmen fired upon Babar Qadri from point-blank range in the Hawal area of Srinagar killing him instantly on the spot.
He said though he was rushed to SKIMS however he succumbed on way. He also said that the body was taken for medico-legal formalities.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura Dr Farooq Jan told local news agency that they had received bullet wounded body of Advocate Babar Qadri who was brought dead to the hospital.
Besides a prominent advocate, Qadri was a well-known TV debater and social activist.
Meanwhile, soon after the attack, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
