Drivers stage protest against proposal of parking slot in Tral

Tral, 22 September: Drivers in the Tral sub-district of South Kashmir on Tuesday morning staged a peaceful protest against the proposal of parking slot in the area.

A group of the drivers assembled near the new Bus Stand Tral and sought revocation of the proposal, “issued earlier by the district authorities.”

They said that if the parking slot for private vehicles is sanctioned near the new bus stand, they won’t be able to park their vehicles comfortably.

One of the drivers has said that the whole stand is only for the parking purpose of passenger vehicles, which caters hundreds of cabs and other vehicles daily.

He said that “it would be mere injustice for hundreds of drivers if the parking slot is made in any portion of the stand for private vehicles.”

The drivers requested concerned authorities to look into the matter as soon as possible to ensure the revocation of the said proposal.
