Central Kashmir Gunfight: Militant Killed army trooper injured
An unidentified militant has been killed and an army trooper was injured an ongoing gunfight at
Charar-i-Shareef area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The encounter between the militants and the government forces broke out yesterday evening and one unidentified militant has been killed in the gunfight and the encounter in the area is going on.
Official sources confirmed the killing of militants and said identification of the slain in being ascertained and said an army trooper was also injured in the gunfight who was shifted to 92 base hospital Srinagar for treatment.
Earlier, a joint team of Army, Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area.As the joint team reached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter
