Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Lurgam told Arising State that patients in the village don’t get any kind of health-related facility in the centre , instead, they have to travel to considerable distances to get the treatment.

He further said that a single room of health centre is catering to more than 700 families in the village that too without any infrastructure or other basic facilities.

The residents said that they moved from pillar to post , and sought the intervention of authorities , but the authorities have been ignoring our call till date.

The locals demanded up-gradation of facilities including a new building for the health centre at the earliest.

“We request the administration to look into the matter and redress our genuine demands. People here will heave a sigh of relief  if the facilities to the health centre are provided,” residents added.
