Contracts Association Electric Div Budgam appeals for payment of works done
Contractors Association Electric Division Budgam on Monday locked down PDD office against non-payment of their works done.
According to Arising state correspondent, dozens of contractors assembled in the premises of PDD division Budgam and staged a peaceful protest demonstration against the authorities who according to employees failed to withdraw their long-pending dues.
The protestors said that the payment for work done has not been released yet despite passing of two years. They also said their domestic life has been badly affected due to the non-availability of finance.
“We have completed several works including back to village program, Saubhaya T&D, CDS etc but the payment is yet to be released despite the passing of two years”, protesting contractors said.
One of the protestors said that the delay in release of payment has affected their domestic life as they have bought goods and other eatables from shopkeepers on credit who are now demanding their payment.
Protestors appealed officials of PDD to intervene into the matter and ensure the pending dues to be released.
