Three Civilian injured in Cross LOC fire in Karnah
The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire along the Line of Control (LOC) in Karnah and Uri sectors of north Kashmir’s Kupwara and Baramullah districts on Friday.
Three Civilians have been injured in cross Border Shelling in the Kranah area. The civilians have been identified as, Mohd Arif from shamspora, Mohd Yaqub and Syed Rafaqat from Kachadiyain village of Karnah. The BMO Tangadr has confirmed the injuries, added that all the three injured have been referred to Srinagar.
The Indo-Pak armies exchanged small and heavy fire in Gabra, Hajitra, Sadhpora, Dhani area of Karnah sector, triggering panic among locals who rushed to safer places for saving their lives. Similar reports came from Boniyar Uri of north Kashmir where armies from both sides traded heavy exchange of artillery in wee hours of Friday which led to scare among villagers. However, no loss of life or property has been reported so far from Uri Side.
The exchange of firing was going on when this report was being filed.
The SHO Karnah, Waseem Ahmad also confirmed the injuries of three civilians due to cross border shelling.
