Bank’s Corporate Headquarter gears up for sanitization after few employees tested Covid-19 Positive
No need to panic, bank following SOP & branches functioning normally: CMD
Few employees of Bank’s corporate headquarter on Thursday last tested Covid-19 positive that prompted authorities to close down several departments. However, Bank’s Chairman and Managing Director, R K Chhibber, clarified that there is no need to be panic as the Bank is competent enough to take utmost care and safety of its employees.
He said that it is unfortunate that some antisocial elements are finding hot stories from the COVID crises targetting the bank which is one among the socially responsible institutions of the country. He said that it was a brave and careful attempt to go for mass testing at its headquarter and out of several hundred asymptomatic employees few have come positive. “We are committed to follow SOP guidelines and our staff is brave enough to fight the crises. Our all branches and offices shall function normally with due care and responsibility in the pandemic crises,” said CMD.
Notably, soon after few employees at the banks, headquarter came positive, authorities decided to close down several departments and shifted infected persons to the quarantine centers.
Only those departments have been closed down where employees tested Covid-19 positive, however rest of the departments are functioning normally. After few employees tested positive, the entire corporate headquarter was sanitized with anti-virus chemicals. Further, the entire headquarter building is being fumigated to maintain Covid-19 free atmosphere for the wellbeing and security of employees and visitors.
It’s worth mentioning that staff is already working on a rotational basis and everyday thermal check is being done at the arrival and sanitizers are available on every table in the office. The administration is also regularly following the status and well being of the employees who have come COVID positive few days back.
