Int’l Day observed against Drug Abuse in Handwara

District food control officer (DFCO) in Handwara on Friday organised a drug de-addiction rally in collaboration with drug department Baramulla, Handwara, and Kupwara
The Chemists and druggists took out a rally holding banners and placards against the sale and use of illicit drugs from Hospital road to Main Chowk Handwara where a symposium was held.
Several Health officers including assistant drug controller Baramulla & Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Banday, addressed the chemists and druggists to make them aware about the dangers posed by drug de-addiction to youth in their early age.
Among others who attended the drug, de-addiction function included Drug Control Officer Handwara Ishteyaq Baba, drug control officer Kupwara Dr. Shibeer Ah Bhat conducted the proceedings of the function.
