Two Militants killed In brief gunfight in Shopian

Shopian, 27 July : Two militants were killed in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning in a brief gunfight with security forces after a night-long CASO turned into an encounter, according to reports.
Sources said that a Cordon and search operation was launched by 23 Para J&K Sog and Crpf at Bonbazar town in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Today morning when searches intensified militants hiding nearby fired upon security forces resulting in a brief shootout.

Police official confirmed the incident and said that two militants have been killed and the search is going on. He further added that militants killed may be newly recruited, but we are checking their identites.
