Curbs in valley disrupt normal life
A valley-wide shutdown is being observed in Kashmir following a strike call given by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on third death anniversary of Burhan Wani,the Hizbul Mujhahideen commander who was killed by security forces on this day in 2016.
According to the reports shops, business establishments, schools ,colleges are closed while as public transport if off the roads..Restrictions have been imposed in old city areas falling under the jurisdiction of police stations namely Rainawari,MR Gunj, Khanyar, Safakadal and Nowhatta. While as the administration has put barricades in the city , mainly, to provide movement of people, internet services have also been reduced in the entire valley, bringing life to a standstill. Meanwhile, train services have also been shut for the day.
