Girl found hanging in south Kashmir

An  18 year old Girl was found hanging from an orchard in the  Baapora area of Qazigund in suspicious condition, said an official.

Nazia Akhtar daughter of Mohammad Amin Shah of Baapora, Qazigund was found hanging in an orchard today in the morning, an official said.

He said that the locals of the area spotted the body of the girl hanging in the nearby orchard at Baapora, Qazigund and immediately informed the concerned police station about it.

He added  a police team reached the spot and took the body for postmortem and other legal medico formalities.

After conducting all legal formalities, the police will be handed over the body of the deceased girl to her relatives, said an official.

Police have  initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
