Schools Reopen Across Kashmir Valley After Extended 21-Day Summer Vacation

Srinagar, July 27: Academic activities resumed across the Kashmir Valley on Monday as government and private schools reopened after a 21-day summer vacation.

Students returned to classrooms in large numbers during the morning hours, bringing an end to the extended summer break announced by the School Education Department earlier this month.

The vacation, initially scheduled for a shorter duration, was prolonged due to the prevailing heatwave and adverse weather conditions across the region.

Education Department officials had said the extension was aimed at safeguarding the health and well-being of students and staff amid unusually high temperatures and inclement weather in several parts of the Valley.

With the reopening of schools, regular teaching and learning activities have resumed across educational institutions.
