Organised by the Executive Education and Consultancy Division, the programme, scheduled from July 16 to 18, 2026, aims to equip managers with contemporary leadership competencies, strategic decision-making abilities and managerial skills required to effectively navigate today’s dynamic and complex organisational environment.

He also shared the positive feedback received from participants of the previous batch and expressed confidence that the current programme would prove equally enriching.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Jabir Ali encouraged them to approach the programme with curiosity, openness and a willingness to learn. He said the curriculum has been carefully designed to expose participants to contemporary management practices, diverse leadership perspectives and thought-provoking discussions that would broaden their strategic outlook and enhance both professional competence and personal effectiveness.

He urged participants to actively engage with faculty members and fellow professionals to derive maximum benefit from the learning experience.Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rajesh Sikka, Co-Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, highlighted IIM Jammu’s growing collaboration with public sector organisations through customised executive education programmes. He said the institute has developed a comprehensive range of Management Development Programmes tailored to the specific needs of government departments, public sector undertakings and corporate organisations. He added that each programme is designed in close consultation with partner organisations to ensure meaningful organisational impact.

Earlier, Dr. Ateeque Shaikh, Programme Director, welcomed the participants and presented an overview of the programme, outlining its objectives, expected learning outcomes and the carefully curated sessions planned over the next three days. He said the programme combines academic rigour with practical insights to strengthen leadership capabilities and managerial effectiveness.

Adding an interactive element to the inaugural session, participants from NBCC Limited introduced themselves and shared their professional backgrounds and expectations from the programme, fostering an environment of collaboration, peer learning and knowledge exchange.

The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shivani Sachdev, Programme Director, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, institute leadership, faculty members, participants and the organising team for their support. The ceremony concluded with the National Song, National Anthem and a group photograph, marking the beginning of three days of intensive learning and leadership development.
