Amit Shah Extends Republic Day Greetings, Pays Tribute to Freedom Fighters and Constitution Makers

New Delhi, January 26: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Monday extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the country on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day and paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters and the makers of the Constitution.

In a message shared on X, the Home Minister said that Republic Day was a moment to remember and honour those who laid the strong foundation of India’s democracy. He bowed to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation and to the architects of the Constitution who shaped India’s democratic framework.

Shri Shah urged citizens to take a collective resolve to strengthen constitutional values and work towards building a developed nation. He called upon the people to contribute towards the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his post, the Home Minister said, “Heartfelt Republic Day greetings to all fellow countrymen. On this occasion, I bow to all the freedom fighters and to the makers of the Constitution who laid the strong foundation of our robust democracy. Come, let us take a resolve under the leadership of Modi ji to further strengthen the constitutional values and build a Viksit Bharat.”

Republic Day is observed across the country to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950, marking the nation’s transition into a sovereign democratic republic.
