BREAKING NEWS : Saudi Arabia to Open Real Estate Market to Foreign Buyers from January
In a landmark policy shift, Saudi Arabia has announced that it will officially open its real estate market to foreign buyers starting January. Under the new regulations, non-Saudis will be allowed to purchase a wide range of properties across the Kingdom — including homes, land parcels, farms, as well as commercial and industrial real estate.
Significantly, the reforms will also extend to the holy cities of Mecca and Madinah, where foreigners will be permitted to buy property provided they are Muslim. This marks the first time such access has been granted in these religiously significant areas.
The move is seen as a major step in boosting investment, diversifying the economy, and expanding opportunities under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reform agenda.
More details are expected as the policy comes into effect in the new year.
