Police Commemoration Day Observed in Police District Awantipora

Awantipora 21: The sacrifices of police forces across the country made in the line of their duties were marked with solemnity on the Police Commemoration Day held at Police District Lines Awantipora.

SSP Awantipora along with Addl.SP Awantipora , SDPOs & other ranks of police besides, Management of AIIMS Awantipora, members from civil society , retired police officers & family members of police martyrs were present on the occasion who paid floral tributes to all martyrs of the police forces of the Country and two minutes silence was observed in memory of martyrs.

In the function, contingents of JKP performed Shok Shastra on the beats of Pipe Band.
On the occasion SSP Awantipora read out the list of Martyrs of police forces of the country who sacrificed their lives in the line of duties while serving the nation and paid rich tributes to them”. The function was followed by laying of wreaths and showering of flowers by the officers, jawans, guests and the members of Martyrs families at Martyrs memorial DPL Awantipora.

SSP Awantipora distributed gifts among NOKs of Police Martyrs and also listened patiently to the grievances of Police Martyr families and assured them that pending issues pertaining to J&k Police will be followed for proper redressal on priority .
