Dr. Harbaksh Singh Appointed as Chairman of MOEFCC Promotional Council for J&K
Srinagar, July 29: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC) Promotional Council of India has appointed Dr. Harbaksh Singh as the Chairman for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for a period of three years.
Dr. Harbaksh Singh is a well-known socio-political activist and currently serves as a DDC member from Tral. He also holds the position of Chairman, Standing Committee for Health and Education, Pulwama.
The Promotional Council works in coordination with the Union Ministry to implement environment-related schemes at the grassroots level. Its core mission is to promote environmental awareness among the public and to support on-ground execution of various initiatives aimed at environmental preservation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harbaksh Singh said, “I am very grateful to the National Chairman and the central team for putting their trust in me for this noble cause. In the coming days, the UT-level committee and district committees will be formed to ensure effective implementation of our objectives.”
