Security Forces launch Cordon and search operation in Dangerpora Sopore
Forces on early Thursday launched a cordon-and-search operation at Dangerpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, special operation group of police (SOG) and CRPF jointly launched search operation in Dangerpora Sopore and conducted house to house search operation in the area.
According to reports, following suspicious movement in the area a cordon and search operation was launched in the area.
Searches in the area were on when the last reports came in.. Sources said two militants are believed to be trapped in a residential house. Details awaited.
Meanwhile, internet services have been suspended in the area.
In order to prevent any Law & Order breakdown, the authorities have decided to close the following educational institutions in the area:
Govt Boys & Girls HR secondary school Sopore,
Govt HR. Secondary school Dangerpora in Tehsil Dangerpora
Govt Degree college Sopore
(As per Add. District Magistrate, Sopore, the above institutions Shall remain closed today on May 30th 2019, reads an order)
