ASSOCHAM honors achievers in 5th edition of ASSOCHAM J&K Women Achievers – 2025

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), one of the country’s oldest and most esteemed apex bodies, honored women achievers from Jammu & Kashmir at the 5th Edition of ‘ASSOCHAM J&K Women Achievers – 2025’. The event, held on International Women’s Day, recognized and celebrated the exceptional contributions of women in various professional fields.Ms. Sakina Itoo, Hon’ble Minister for School & Higher Education, Health & Medical Education, and Social Welfare, J&K Government, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Ms. Anoo Malhotra (JKAS), Director General, Rural Sanitation, J&K, attended as the Special Guest.

ASSOCHAM J&K Council had invited nominations across multiple categories for the J&K Women Achievers 2025 Awards. After a thorough evaluation of numerous nominations, eight outstanding women were selected and awarded in their respective fields:Retail Category: Ms. Tania Kukreja (Atar Singh & Sons) & Ms. Pooja Gupta (Himalayan Bio Organic Foods Ltd.)Education Category: Ms. Rohini Aima (Jammu Sanskriti School)Startup & Innovation Category: Dr. Anushka Vaid (Dr. Amit Multi-Specialty Hospital)Beauty & Wellness Category: Ms. Shivani Arora (Hair Masters Jammu)Media Category: Ms. Monika Jamwal (Take One Network)Manufacturing Category: Ms. Namrata Modi (Prevest DenPro Ltd.)Social Service: Ms. Nidhi Dogra SharmaRecognizing Women’s Achievements & Encouraging GrowthWhile congratulating the awardees, Ms. Sakina Itoo applauded ASSOCHAM J&K Council for organizing this initiative and commended the awardees for their achievements.

“Today is an important day for women, and seeing your success proves that you are breaking barriers in a male-dominated society. I would love to hear about the challenges you face in business. If you need any support from the government, we are always here to assist you in creating more employment opportunities for women,” said Ms. Itoo.She further emphasized that whether the journey is easy or challenging, women are on the right path to achieving their goals.Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council, expressed his pride in hosting the event for the fifth consecutive year.

“We initiated these awards in 2021, and today, we have successfully hosted the fifth edition. We will continue organizing such events in the future to encourage and empower women entrepreneurs in Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.In addition to the awards, all participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their contributions.

Bhupesh Gupta, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council, highlighted the importance of celebrating women’s achievements.“Women are excelling in every professional sphere.
