VIBRANT VILLAGE PROGRAMME (VVP) UNDER OP SADBHAVANA

Srinagar, Dec 14: In a resounding testament to the commitment towards empowering border communities, Kharnak Village in Ladakh has witnessed a transformative upsurge in its livelihood and living standards, courtesy of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) spearheaded by Leh Sub Area under Operation Sadbhavana.

Amidst an atmosphere of celebration and optimism, Kharnak village embraced a landmark occasion on 14 Dec 2024, as Officiating General Officer Commanding, Leh Sub Area, presided over a ceremony heralding a new era of progress for the community.

During the ceremonious event, Officiating General Officer Commanding, Brigadier SK Dalal symbolically handed over a suite of essential provisions, meticulously selected to address the pressing needs of the villagers. As part of empowering the ‘Skill Development Centre with all amenities including modern  heating arrangements was handed over to the Nambardar of Kharnak village.

With an anticipated direct impact on approximately 300 villagers residing in Kharnak, these initiatives herald a dawn of hope and prosperity. By addressing fundamental necessities and bolstering income-generating avenues, the Vibrant Village Programme catalyses a positive ripple effect, nurturing an environment conducive to the retention of local talent and the preservation of cultural heritage.

In essence, the concerted efforts under Operation Sadbhavana not only elevate the standard of living but also serve as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path towards inclusive growth and community resilience.
