3 Minors Among 4 Family Members Die of Suspected Food Poisoning in Rajouri

Rajouri, Dec 8: In a tragic incident, four members of a family, including three minors, lost their lives due to suspected food poisoning in Kandi village of Kotranka Budhal area in Rajouri district. Two others—a woman and her child—are currently hospitalized.

According to officials, the family fell severely ill after consuming food at their home and was rushed to SMHS hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, four of them succumbed, while the condition of the mother, Shamim Akhter (38), is reported to be stable. Her 12-year-old son, Ruksar Ahmed, remains in critical condition.

The deceased have been identified as Fazal Hussain (40), his daughters Rabia Kousar (15) and Farmana Kousar (10), and his 4-year-old son, Raftar Ahmed.

Authorities have registered a case, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the tragedy.
