Light Snowfall and Rain Expected in Kashmir, Higher Reaches Likely to Witness Snow
Srinagar,December 08: The weather department has forecast mostly cloudy skies with chances of light snow and rain in parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours. Higher reaches are likely to witness fresh snowfall, signaling the arrival of harsher winter conditions.
Light snowfall is expected at prominent tourist destinations and elevated areas such as Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Doodhpathri, Pahalgam, Peer Ki Gali, Sinthan Top, and Zojila Pass.
Additionally, light rain showers are likely over the plains, with Jammu and South Kashmir expected to experience the most precipitation during this period.
Travelers, especially those heading to higher altitudes, are advised to remain cautious as snowfall could lead to slippery roads and potential travel disruptions.
