Govt Bans Sale Of Liquor, Non-veg Food In Katra Areas

Jammu, Dec 04: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Katra, by virtue of powers vested under section 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has prohibited sale, possession and consumption of liquor and non-vegetarian food such as eggs, chicken, meat, mutton, sea food, fish, prawns, lobster etc. in Katra and adjoining areas in the territorial jurisdiction of the Sub-Division.

The prohibitions will be enforced on the track from Katra to Holy Cave and in villages within a distance of upto 02 Km on both sides of the track Villages: Arli, Hansali and Matyal; Katra-Tikri Road- within 200 meters on both sides of the road including villages Chamba, Serli and Bhagta; Katra-Jammu Road-within 200 meters on both sides of the road including villages Kundrorian, Kotli Bajallian, Nomain and Maghal;  Katra-Reasi Road- within 200 meters on both sides of the road from Katra to Nau Devian and Aghar Jitto and Nau Devian markets; Railway Station Katra-Sool Road-within 200 meters on both sides of the road; Panthal-Domail Road-Within 100 meters on both sides of the road.
