Anantnag, Oct 5: Ishrat Nisar, a resident of YK Pora, Qazigund in District Anantnag, has secured the top position in the Supervisor Exam conducted by JKSSB in June this year. The results, announced recently, revealed that a total of 103,118 candidates had applied for the exam.

Ishrat Nisar, daughter of Nisar Ahmad Rather, completed her early education at Divine Institute of Scientific Education in 2008, followed by her schooling at Gowsia Public School in Qazigund and YK Pora, and later at Government Higher Secondary School. She went on to graduate from Women’s College Anantnag and earned an MBA in Tourism Management from Kashmir University in 2019.

Inspired by her parents, whom she credits as her main motivators, Ishrat expressed her gratitude for their unfaltering  support in her journey to success.

In an interview with Press Trust of Kashmir, Ishrat shared her surprise at achieving the top rank, admitting, “I wasn’t expecting such an outcome.” Overwhelmed with joy, she noted that it may take time for the reality of her success to truly sink in.

Remarkably, Ishrat prepared for the exam without any formal coaching, relying solely on online study resources. At 28 years old, she emphasized that her achievement is an evidence the power of dedication and hard work.

Ishrat scored an impressive 78.23% in the exam, securing the top position. Joyti Sharma followed with 76.79%, and Keena Sharma with 76.05%.
