Lethpora Attack Accused Dies of Cardiac Arrest in Jammu Medical College
Jammu, Sep 24 :An accused in the Lethpora terror attack, Bilal Ahmad Kuchay, passed away due to cardiac arrest at the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu late last night, officials confirmed.
Bilal Ahmad Kuchay, son of Ghulam Nabi Kuchay from Pulwama, had been lodged in a Jammu division jail and had reportedly been unwell for the past week. Officials stated that Kuchay had been receiving treatment while in jail and was later shifted to GMC Jammu for further medical care. He suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday evening and, despite efforts, passed away. Authorities have initiated further proceedings.
Kuchay was arrested in 2020 on charges of providing logistical support to the terrorists involved in the 2019 Lethpora suicide attack, which claimed the lives of at least 40 CRPF personnel.
