Engineer Rashid Returns to Srinagar, Vows to Fight 2019 Decision
Srinagar, September 12 : Engineer Rashid, the Baramulla MP, returned to Srinagar today, making a notable statement by refusing to travel in a bulletproof vehicle, instead opting for a regular car. Upon arrival at the airport, he bowed down in a symbolic gesture.
Speaking to the media at Humhama Chowk, Rashid reaffirmed his strong opposition to the August 5, 2019 decision, which he described as “anti-people.” He declared his intent to continue the fight against it, stating, “Neither I nor the people of Kashmir are weak. I want to tell PM Modi that the decision you took on August 5, 2019, is not acceptable to the people of Kashmir”.
Rashid emphasized that his struggle is for the rights and dignity of Jammu and Kashmir’s people. “My fight is not for personal gain or power, but for the people of J&K. I will continue to raise my voice against the injustices perpetrated against our people,” he said.
Later today, the Baramulla MP is scheduled to address a public contact program in Baramulla, where he is expected to outline his vision and future plans.
His return has created significant interest, with many viewing it as a pivotal moment in Kashmir’s political landscape.(KNS)
