Omar Abdullah on Election Fairness and Engineer Rashid’s Bail

Srinagar,Sep11: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah emphasized the importance of free expression during elections, stating, “In elections, everyone has the right to express their views in front of people. We expressed our views, the BJP also has the right to put forth their views before the public. The voter will decide on October 8 whose views they agreed with.”

Commenting on Engineer Rashid’s interim bail, Abdullah pointed out a contrast in BJP’s reactions: “When Arvind Kejriwal was released on bail, the BJP protested it across the country. But when Engineer Rashid is being released, the BJP is welcoming it. It is evident that somewhere the BJP knows that he will help them.”
