Government of Jammu and Kashmir Orders Major Transfers and Postings in Police Department

Srinagar, August 16: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued fresh transfer and posting orders for several senior police officers.  The following officers have been reassigned to new roles:

1. Gurinderpal Singh, IPS has been transferred from his current position as AIG (P&T) at Police Headquarters (PHQ) to serve as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, replacing Shri Nagpure Amod Ashok, IPS.
2. Nagpure Amod Ashok, IPS, previously SSP Baramulla, is now posted as SSP Udhampur, taking over from Shri Joginder Singh.
3. Amritpal Singh, IPS has been transferred from CO IR-2 to SSP (Tech) at CID Headquarters.
4. Mumtaz Ahmed, IPS has been reassigned from CO 1 Border Battalion, Jammu, to SSP Poonch, replacing Shri Yougal Kumar Manhas.
5. Mohd Aslam, IPS, who was serving as CO JKAP-13, is now posted as SSP Doda, replacing Shri Javid Iqbal, who will await further posting orders at PHQ.
6. Sandeep Gupta, IPS has been transferred from his position as SSP Ganderbal to AIG (Tech) at PHQ, succeeding Shri Wasim Qadri.
7. Anuj Kumar, IPS has been transferred from SSP Ramban to CO IR-11, replacing Shri Kulbir Singh.
8. Ms. Tanushree, IPS has been moved from SSP Shopian to SP SIA Kashmir, replacing Shri Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS.
9. Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS has been reassigned from SSP Kathua to SSP Shopian, taking over from Ms. Tanushree, IPS.
10. Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS has been transferred from SSP Reasi to AIG (Prov) at PHQ.
11. Ms. Deepika, IPS, previously SP SIA Jammu, is now posted as SSP Kathua, replacing Shri Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS.
12. Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS has been transferred from SP SIA Kashmir to SSP Reasi, succeeding Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS.
13. Kulbir Singh (JKPS:99) has been reassigned from CO IR-11 to SSP Ramban, replacing Shri Anuj Kumar, IPS.
14. Joginder Singh (JKPS:99) has been transferred from SSP Udhampur to SSP Jammu, succeeding Shri Vino Kumar, IPS.
15. Ashok Kumar Sharma (JKPS:99), who was previously under orders of transfer to SSP Security, J&K, has now been posted as CO 1 Border Battalion, Jammu, replacing Shri Mumtaz Ahmad, IPS.
16. Wasim Qadri (JKPS:2001) has been transferred from AIG (Tech) PHQ to SSP Ganderbal, replacing Shri Sandeep Gupta, IPS.
17. Yougal Kumar Manhas (JKPS:2001) has been reassigned from SSP Poonch to SSP SIA Jammu, replacing Ms. Deepika, IPS.
18. Al-Tahir Geelani (JKPS:2002), who was awaiting posting, has now been appointed as MG (Procurement) at PHQ.
19. Ms. Shaheen Wahid (JKPS:2004) has been transferred from Dy.CO 1 Women Battalion, Jammu, to SSP Telecom Jammu.
20. Sandeep Bhat (JKPS:2011), previously Addl. SP Bandipora, is now posted as Addl. SP Udhampur, replacing Shri Baljeet Singh.
21. Baljeet Singh (JKPS:2011) has been reassigned from Addl. SP Udhampur to Addl. SP Nowshera, with Shri Mohd. Rafiq Giri awaiting further postings at PHQ.
