Violation of non-maintainance of sales record of prescription medicine, Retail drug sale license suspended in Anantnag

Anantnag: The Drug control authority here in Anantnag has suspended a license of retail drug sale establishment for a period of 40 days for violation of non-maintainance of sales record of scheduled H1 Drug.
On a specific input, a team of Drug controlling authority Anantnag led by Assistant Drug Controller, conducted raids and inspections of various medical sale establishments in the hotspot area of Anantnag town.
Sources told Arising State that On Wednesday last week, a team of Drug controller office Anantnag suspended the retail drug sale license of a medical shop namely “City Care Pharmacy” at 01, mohalla Sadak Janglatmandi Anantnag following the violation of non maintainance of sales record of scheduled H1 Drug.
They said that at least 07 notices have also been served to firms for keeping scheduled H1 medicines in violation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules thereunder.
Earlier, the Anantnag Chief Judicial Magistrate Court convicts a person for not maintaining sale records of prescription scheduled drugs and has been sentenced with a penality of Rs 75000 and TRC.
Meanwhile, The Chemists in the District Anantnag were impressed to maintain the records of all the scheduled H1 medicines properly as per the prescribed norms, and were asked to keep records of such medicines for a minimum period two to three years.
They were asked to share the responsibility of one and all to contribute in the eradication of the drug menace.
