24th J&K UT Sqay Martial Art Championship underway in Srinagar
Srinagar, 22 Dec: The 24th J&K UT Sqay championship which is being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir SQAY Association is underway at Indoor Sports Complex, Polo-Ground in Srinagar, officials said.
They said that the Championship started from 20th of December and will be concluded on 23rd of December, in which a large number of players, from different districts, and different age categories have participated.
Waseem Beigh, Organising Secretary, JK Sqay Association has said that the players performed exceptionally well, while scores of players have been selected for National Level Championship, scheduled to be held at Rajasthan.
He said that Birla Int’l School Pampore won 15 Gold Medals, 20 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals during the championship.
Pertinently, the Championship is supported by Sqay Federation Of India, recognised under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
