Program under UBA 2.0 organized at IUST
Tral, December 1: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a two-day Health Awareness Drive targeting the girl students of High School Gooripora under University’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) 2.0 program.
The programme organized by the office of Dean Outreach in collaboration with IUST Health Centre, was coordinated by Er. Romana Yousuf, IUST UBA Coordinator. Focused on spreading health awareness among adolescent girls, the program emphasized on Women’s Health particularly Menstrual Health and Hygiene, while advocating the significance of improved sanitary amenities for girls both at home and within educational institutions. Prof. Lily Want, Dean Outreach IUST said that this program signifies IUST’s commitment to holistic education and societal welfare, reinforcing the institution’s dedication towards nurturing well-informed and healthy communities.
The IUST team including University Medical Officer Dr. Zahida Rasool and Ms. Shaiqa Nasreen, also distributed health kits among the female students.
