Anantnag 15 November : A woman hailing from the Seer Hamdan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has alleged that she has not received a salary from the private organization since her appointment four years ago.
Speaking to Arising State, the woman stated, “My salary has not been released by the department despite my continuous and regular performance of duties. The required attendance is being submitted to the Mission Director regularly by the District Child Protection Officer, ICPS Anantnag.”
She added, “I have not been provided any kind of honorarium since my first appointment in the department. I have been working in the organization since 2019.”
The woman provided a letter to Arising State in which the District Child Protection Officer, ICPS Anantnag, sent a sympathetic consideration letter in favor of the woman to the Mission Director of Mission VATSALYA J&K. The letter mentioned that Miss Rozey Jan, daughter of Abdul Gani Sheikh, resident of Seer Hamdan, Anantnag, was outsourced by Rajdoot Placement Security Service Pvt. Ltd and deputed to the office of the Child Welfare Committee from 01-04-2019.
“She joined the office of DCPO on 07-05-2019 and attended her duties in the office of ICPS Anantnag up to 31-05-2021. She did not attend her duties from 01-03-2022 to 30-05-2022 due to health issues but joined again in ICPS Anantnag since then. Her behavior and conduct remained satisfactory,” the letter reads.
Talking to Arising State, the woman said, “I was told at that time that I was appointed in the department. However, since then, I have neither received any salary nor has my problem been resolved. I have approached every nook and corner of the administration but failed.”
The lady’s story begins in 2018 when she applied for a job by submitting an application to then Advisor Khursheed Ganie. According to the woman, the Advisor marked her application and asked her to visit the Municipal Committee Seer Hamdan. She provided more letters to Arising State, including one sent by the Municipal Committee Seer Hamdan to the Director of Urban Local Bodies Kashmir.
The woman alleged, “Since 2019, I have not received a salary, resulting in facing much financial hardship during these difficult times as I have no source of income to survive.”
However, Mission Director ICPS Hervinder Kour, in response to Arising State, refuted the allegations, stating, “Ask the lady to show her formal order of recruitment.”
