First Snowfall of the Season in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir Adds Charm to a World-Famous Tourist Destination

AS: World-famous tourist destination Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir is now witnessing the first snowfall, adding to its allure for visitors. Expect light to moderate rain and snowfall over higher elevations at most places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Forecast:
– Today: Widespread rain in the plains and snowfall in the higher regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The precipitation is expected to gradually decrease from late afternoon onwards.
– November 11-17: Mainly dry conditions with warmer days.

Fresh snowfall has been reported in the higher areas of the Kashmir Valley, including Pir Ki Gali, Zojila, and Gulmarg, while the plains of Kashmir are experiencing rainfall. As a precautionary measure, Kishtwar-Anantnag and Mughal road are closed for all traffic. The Meteorological Department (MeT) predicts a gradual decrease in precipitation starting from late afternoon. Looking ahead, the weather forecast for November 11th to 17th indicates mainly dry conditions and warmer days, making Gulmarg even more enticing for tourists.
