Police Flag Day: PD Awantipora organised series of events

Awantipora 30 October 2023: Police District Awantipora in furtherance of Police Flag Day Week programmes conducted series of events. Today, in DPL Awantipora special achievers among kids of Police Martyrs were felicitated by SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS.

During the programme, gifts/ Appreciation certificates were presented to them as a token of love and encouragement. SSP Awantipora conveyed his gratitude to the families. He thanked everyone personally and assured unflinching support for the welfare and security of their loved ones.

In the memory of Police martyrs and to pay rich tribute to the brave martyrs, Awantipora Police also organized a cultural programme today at District Police Lines Awantipora in which students of different schools of PD Awantipora participated.

In the said cultural programme, various artists performed skits and other musical performances especially pertaining to Patriotic themes.

In closing ceremony, SSP Awantipora along with SP DAR distributed appreciation certificates among 1st three winners and participation certificates among all the participants.

In sub Division Pampore, a debate competition was also organised at Government Degree Collage Pampore in which various students participated.

The theme of debate Competition was “The role of Police in Nation Building”. In the said competition, 1st three winners were awarded with trophies and appreciation certificates and participation certificates were also presented to all other participants. On the occasion, Principal GDC Pampore, SP DAR, SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore besides other staff members of College were present.

The sports events Volley ball and Badminton which were inaugurated by SSP Awantipora on 21st October 2023 on Police Commemoration Day also concluded today on 30th October 2023.

In a closing presentation, SSP Awantipora along with SP DAR felicitated the winner/Runner-up teams with trophies and appreciation certificates. SSP Awantipora while interacting with players, respectable congratulated the winners/runners-up teams and expressed that Jammu & Kashmir Police and Police Awantipora is committed to give boost to the sports and to channelize youth energy in positive manner.

SSP Awantipora thanked the players, spectators and the people who witnessed the event and made the event successful.

It is pertinent to mention that these series of events were started from the “Police Commemoration Day” on 21st October 2023 and culminated today except Run for Unity which is scheduled for 31st October 2023.
