29th Junior National Thang-Ta Championship held in Srinagar

Srinagar, 8 Oct: The 29th Junior National Thang-Ta Championship 2023, held at the Polo Ground Multipurpose Indoor Sports Stadium in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, witnessed an exhilarating display of talent and determination from young athletes across India.

With a total of 550 participants representing 25 states, including 46 participants from the scenic region of Kashmir, the championship proved to be a true celebration of India’s diverse sporting culture.

Among the participants, the Khelo India Thang-Ta Center Bajbani Tral emerged as a shining beacon of excellence. The center, situated in the serene landscapes of Jammu & Kashmir, sent 10 promising contestants to compete in this national arena.

These young talents exhibited exceptional skills and an unwavering spirit throughout the championship, ultimately clinching an impressive tally of 7 medals. The medallists from Khelo India Thang-Ta Center Bajbani Tral at the 29th Junior National Thang-Ta Championship 2023 are as follows: Toiba Nisar, Rahida Nazir, Sabreena Akram, Sahid Gulzar, Hammad Bashir, Murtaza Iqbal, & Faizan-ul- Haq.
