Pulwama: The residents of Bangidar village in South Kashmir’s Tral sub district are up in arms against authoriries for failing to provide them with basic facilities, particularly bridge connectivity.

The aggrieved residents on Monday said that they have been requesting govt to construct a bridge over a water ‘Nallah’ in the village, but their demands are not fulfilled till the date.

They said that “apart from the lack of bridge and road connectivity, people of the area face water crisis, while school building also needs upgradation.”

They further said that winter remains harsh for them, as due to lack of bridge, they carry food and other items on shoulders, amid snowfall and bone chilling cold.

One of the residents has said that, “whenever it rains, the gushing water in ‘nallah’ restricts the movement of people, while students face difficulties in reaching their respective schools.

The residents unanimously sought immediate intervention of higher ups into the matter, and demanded that bridge connectivity and other facilities in the area must be ensured at the earliest.
