Social Forestry celebrates “planting festival ” at GDC Tral
Pulwama: To mark the annual planting festival, department of Social Forestry in Tral held a programme at Govt Degree College Bajwani on Sunday, in which the participants planted several tree saplings.
On the occasion, Regional Director, Social Forestry, Kashmir, Mehraj Ud Din Malik, DFO, Social Forestry, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Several College Professors, besides students and social forestry employees were present during the programme.
The participating officials have made students aware about the importance of trees in present era, and asked them to promote such activities regularly.
Notably, Forest Festival is an annual tree-planting festival celebrated in the month of July in which thousands of trees are planted.
