Swift Action by Srinagar Police: Two Women Arrested for Assaulting and Injuring Girl at Boulevard Road

Srinagar: In a swift response to an alarming incident, Srinagar police have apprehended two individuals, Ms. Urfana Bhat and Ms. Rukhsana, both residents of Nishat, who stand accused of assaulting and causing injuries to a young girl within a shop located on Boulevard Road in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

The victim, whose condition is now stable, has been promptly transferred to a medical facility for necessary care and treatment. The authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the pertinent sections at RM Bagh Police Station, marking the initiation of a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Srinagar Police has taken to social media to provide insight into the incident, stating, “Two accused individuals, Ms. Urfana Bhat & Ms. Rukhsana, both residents of Nishat, apprehended for their involvement in assaulting & causing injuries to a girl within a shop at Boulevard Road. FIR no. 119/2023 registered under relevant sections at RM Bagh PS. The victim’s condition is stable & she is currently receiving medical attention at a hospital.”
