Forest Department Employees Injured in Pulwama Forest Attack by Unidentified Gunmen
Pulwama,19 July: In a shocking incident, two forest department employees were targeted by unidentified gunmen in the Sonabanjar forest area near Bagandar Bridge. The victims, identified as Jahangir Ahmad Chechi and Imran Yousuf, were on a routine patrol during the night when they noticed suspicious activity.
Upon approaching the area to investigate, the assailants opened fire, causing serious injuries to Chechi and Yousuf. Swift action was taken, and both injured employees were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. However, due to the critical condition of Imran Yousuf, he was later transferred to SMHS Hospital for specialized care.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident, and further details regarding the attack are yet to be released.
