Eid-ul-Adha on June 29 as Zil Hajj Moon is Sighted: Grand Mufti

Srinagar, June 19: Crescent of Dhul Hijjah was sighted on Monday evening in Chenab Valley’s Ramban district, confirming the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in Jammu and Kashmir on June 29.

According to Grand cleric Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated On June 29, 2023, as the crescent of the sacred month Dhul Hijjah was sighted in Batote area of Ramban district.

Dhul Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic Calendar, carries significant importance due to the annual Hajj pilgrimage and the traditional animal sacrifices observed during the celebration of Bakr-e-Eid.
