Awantipora Police destroyed Poppy Cultivation on 05 Kanals of land

Awantipora: To put an end to the use and spread of drugs, Awantipora Police is making consistent efforts by way of enforcement operations, today a special drive against Drug cultivation was launched and a huge cultivation of Poppy spread over nearly about 05 Kanals was destroyed at Shahabad Awantipora area of Police Station Awantipora by the special team of Police Awantipora headed by SDPO Awantipora, Mumtaz Ali Bhatti (JKPS).

Accordingly Case FIR NO 118/2023 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Awantipora against the illegal poppy cultivators.

Police Awantipora has already advised all those who have cultivated Poppy or any other Narcotic substances anywhere in Police District Awantipora, to destroy the same on their own, failing which they shall face strict action under law.
