Waseem Ahmad Bhat from South Kashmir becomes UPSC topper with 7th rank

Srinagar, May 23 :  A remarkable achievement has been accomplished by a young individual from Anantnag district in South Kashmir. Waseem Ahmad Bhat secured the 7th rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2022. Bhat expressed his happiness and attributed his success to his hard work and dedication towards the UPSC. Speaking over the phone from New Delhi, he expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him throughout his journey.

Waseem Ahmad Bhat, aged 24, is a resident of Anantnag district. He completed his B.Tech in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar. Notably, this achievement follows his earlier success in 2021 when he secured the 225th overall rank in the UPSC Civil Services exam.

Bhat’s outstanding performance in the UPSC examination is not only a testament to his determination but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring civil servants from the region. His dedication and perseverance have borne fruit, opening doors to a promising career in public service.
