Pulwama: The residents of Gujjar Basti in Saimoh village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have been facing hardships due to the lack of drinking water in the area.
The residents have said that, “area is without drinking water supply, since the holy month of Ramadan began, due to which they travel miles to fetch water.”
One of the residents told Arising State that a borewell was also given to the village, which remains defunct, most of the times, thereby adding to their woes.
He said that they usually visit nearby areas particularly Kamla village to get drinking water.
The residents demanded that water supply should be restored, while a water tank should be deputed to the area, till the water crisis are over.
