ACB Raids MC Chairman Office in Langate
Kupwara, Nov 22 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), carried out a raid at Municipal committee chairman office Langate in northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official said that sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau raided the office of Shahnawaz Abdullah MC Chairman Langate this afternoon in connection with, illegal mining, misappropriation and embezzlement of funds.
The official further said that during searches the ACB seized some official documents from the MC office and left from there.
Notably, last month Police had filed FIR against MC Chairman Langate Shahnawaz Abdullah for illegally excavating soil from the premises of a government school in Langate.
However, ACB team also visited the same post where extraction was being done by him.
