Anantnag: Lumpy skin disease in chattels hits in twin blocks of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District as per the official sources.
According to official sources, 8 deaths of animals have been reported in Anantnag District. Out of 198 animals affected in Anantnag District 137 have been recovered, and 53 are still active cases and are under treatment in Anantnag District, official sources said.
Added that there are 28 epicenters in Anantnag district, Qazigund and Dooru block were mostly hit by the virus, Sources said.
Talking to Arising state Dr. Irfan said that a total of 198 animals have been affected with lumpy skin disease till date in Anantnag district of which 137 have been recovered so far while 8 deaths and 53 cases are still active in Anantnag district, he said.
Added that two blocks Qazigund and Dooru block were mostly hit by the virus and somehow the virus was controlled.
In order to prevent the further spreading of the disease, the department is urging farmers to control animal movement.
