COVID: J&K reports 35 fresh cases, no death
Srinagar, Sep 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 35 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 297 while no more death was reported in the UT in the last 24 hours and the death toll stands at 4,784.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 35 new cases, 22 belong to Kashmir division while 13 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 304,990 including 302,333 recoveries and 2,433 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,891 including 171,427 recoveries and 2,351 deaths.
He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 297 including 184 from Kashmir division and 113 from Jammu division.
With 57 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 473,760 which is 98.95 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 35 cases today, 09 are from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 01 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 13 are from Jammu division that include 09 from Jammu district, 01 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kuthua , 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,793,295 persons in J&K are under observation while 520 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 297 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,787,129 persons have completed the surveillance period and 565 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,567,224 samples are available.
“Out of 26,567,224 the number of samples tested negative stands at 26,088,883 while 478,841 have tested positive, among them 297 cases are active, 473,760 have recovered and 4,784 persons have died,” it added.
